Ray White Far North Commercial Division | Far North and Bay of Islands

Wayne joins the Commercial Sales and Property Management divisions at Ray White, bringing more than 40 years of financial, accounting, and business expertise to clients across the Far North. His extensive commercial background, combined with decades of local knowledge, gives him a unique perspective when helping business owners, investors, and property owners make informed decisions.

Having called the Far North home for 38 years, Wayne and his wife Julie raised their three children on a 15-hectare lifestyle property in Pakaraka and now enjoy life on a small block just north of Kerikeri. Their family has since grown to include five grandchildren, and Wayne also has a long-standing connection to Ahipara, where the family has spent holidays at their much-loved bach for the past 30 years.

Before making the move into commercial real estate, Wayne successfully owned and operated a respected tax and business advisory practice for three decades. Working alongside businesses of all sizes has given him an exceptional understanding of commercial property, business financials, and the challenges and opportunities faced by local business owners.

Wayne's career journey has been as varied as it has been rewarding. In his twenties, he spent two years playing rugby in the United States before returning to New Zealand and working in the freight industry for five years. Today, when he's not working with clients, he enjoys spending time in the kitchen, growing his own fruit and vegetables, and planting native trees around his property.

A passionate advocate for community sport, Wayne has dedicated decades to supporting local organisations. He was a founding member of BaySport, serving on the management committee for 20 years and helping develop the sports hub at Waipapa. His involvement with The Stingrays inline skating club spans more than 30 years as a coach, player, referee, and administrator, while his own sporting achievements include a distinguished 15-year international inline hockey career representing New Zealand at two World Championships and ten Oceania Championships.

With a wealth of commercial knowledge, strong community connections, and a practical, down-to-earth approach, Wayne is committed to helping clients achieve outstanding results while building relationships based on trust, integrity, and genuine service.

Who should consider working with Wayne? His financial accounting and business advisory experience is relevant when a commercial owner or buyer wants a practical discussion about a property's information, intended use and business context. Those decades describe his earlier professional background, rather than decades of commercial property sales. Ask him for the recent instructions and property types most relevant to your own decision.

What should you bring to the first conversation? Explain whether you are buying, selling, leasing or seeking commercial management, and what matters to your business or investment. Depending on the instruction, useful information may include the title, leases, outgoings, condition, permitted use and available property records. Your lawyer, accountant, lender and other qualified advisers should assess the documents and financial implications that apply to you.

How will the property be presented and enquiries handled? Discuss the likely audience, marketing costs, campaign schedule, viewing arrangements and reporting. Agree which information can be supplied to interested parties and how questions will be followed up. Establish the actual service scope before proceeding; a commercial instruction and residential rental management require different expertise.

Contact Wayne on 027 498 3312 to discuss a commercial property across the Far North and Bay of Islands. His main public profile is hosted by Ray White Kerikeri. For a Paihia residential sale or tenancy enquiry, the local team can connect you with the appropriate salesperson or property manager.
